Purdy is a 7yr old calico tortie and white female, she is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated , flea and worm treated and will be rehomed with 5 weeks free pet insurance.

Purdy was handed into us by her owners after she suffered an injury and they sadly couldn’t afford the veterinary treatment she needed so turned to us for help.

Purdy arrived acutely painful along her back end and we suspected a problem with her spine or pelvis but after x-raying her all we could see was some tissue damage around the top of her tail. She was also holding her tail limply and not using it so we can only assume she suffered an acute tail pull injury.

She was very painful and very feisty with it for several weeks and getting the pain relief she needed into her was a challenge but after lots of TLC and plenty of rest she is feeling so much better and is ready to finish her recuperation in her forever home.

Purdy can definitely be described as a norty torty, she is a girl who knows her own mind and will let you know when she has had enough attention but once she gets to know you and as she continues to forget about the pain she was in she is mellowing into a friendly little cat who enjoys a head rub (he back and tail area is best avoided still at the moment as she is understandably still sensitive)

She doesnt require any further pain relief or treatment for the injury.

We were told that she used to enjoy her wet food but since trying to disguise her medication in it and being so painful she hasn’t bothered with it at all here, preferring to eat a good quality dry food (Royal Canin is her favourite) along with a small amount of chicken and her favourite Dreamies.

She is clean with the litter tray.

Purdy has lived with another cat in the past but we feel she will enjoy being the only cat in the home, she doesn’t like dogs and isn’t suitable to live with small children under 12yrs.

Purdy will need a home

Being fostered in Swadlincote, Derbys but can be rehomed further afield subject to homecheck and donation.

If you are cat experienced and feel you can offer this girl the forever home she needs please email us telling us all about your home offer to wonkypetsrescue@gmail.com
