Scrabbles is a 14 yr old yorkshire terrier male (above left)  and he is looking for a home with his bonded friend Meir who is an 11yr old female yorkie.

They are neutered, microchipped flea and worm treated. Both will be rehomed with 5 weeks free pet insurance.

These little dogs came to us after their owner passed away and there was no one left to care for them, they have been well loved but sadly a little neglected health wise as happens so often with older people. Meir is a standard sized yorkie and Scrabbles is a tiny boy.

Meir arrived with a really awful infected mouth full of rotten teeth, she had infected and ulcerated gums which must have been so painful and she also had a small lump on her gum which has now been removed along with 26 teeth bless her. Her mouth will soon be fully healed and she will feel so much better. Other than some normal age related cloudiness in her eyes she has an otherwise clean bill of health now.

Scrabbles has no teeth left at all now but it doesnt hinder him, he has been castrated for health benefits and again apart from some age related pannus on his eyes he has an otherwise clean bill of health from our vets. He has always needed help having his anal glands expressed but a supplement called Glandex will help him with that going forward.

Meir and Scrabbles are lovely friendly dogs with people who get on well together but Scrabbles can be defensive of Meir to other dogs in the home so they would need a home where it is just them and no other pets. Meir has slotted into a multidog foster home well but Scrabbles certainly finds it stressful.

They are good companions in the house, clean and non destructive. They will sleep downstairs together quietly at night and are ok to be left for a few hours but are used to having a lot of company so wouldn't want to be left for long periods.

They walk nicely on the lead and are loving their walks, they travel well in the car too so can go off on lovely adventures. They will need a home with a nice secure garden to potter about in.

We dont know what they are like with cats as they have never met any and they will need a home without small resident children (sensible visiting children are absolutely fine)

Being yorkies they will need regular grooming so please also bear this in mind when applying.

Being fostered in Hinstock, nr Market Drayton, Shropshire but can be rehomed further afield to the perfect home subject to homecheck and adoption donation of £350 for the pair.

If you can offer this lovely little pair the forever home they deserve please email us telling us all about your home offer and contact details to
