Charlie is a 12yr old Lhasa boy, he is castrated, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated and had a dental, he will be rehomed with 5 weeks free pet insurance.  Blood tests revealed he had some small changes to his liver enzymes and he is currently only supplements to support that (milk thistle) and we will retest again in a couple of weeks time.

 

Charlie came to us after his elderly owner went into a residential home and the family just weren't able to give him the proper care he needed sadly, he arrived with us in a terribly matted state, smelly from urine and faeces in his coat, his dew claws curled into his pads and needing a dental. We quickly made sure he had a nice groom and a bath and he was soon much more comfortable.

 

Charlie is just an absolute sweetheart of a dog, he is only dinky and quite honestly he is so good we hardly know we have him.  He loves a fuss and to sit with you and would be a great companion for a retired person who is home a lot and can still get out for a nice daily walk together. He will need a home with a nice garden as he loves to lie out in the sunshine and potter around in the garden too.

 

Charlie is great with other dogs and can happily live with another older little neutered canine companion, he is also good with cats and is used to being around gentle, sensible children. 

 

He travels brilliantly in the car and is ok being left for a few hours, he sleeps downstairs quietly at night in his foster home but would equally love to be snuggled up on the bed with you too. 

 

He is eating well and has gained some condition now he is on a much better, more appropriate diet. He was amazing on the grooming table too despite him being so uncomfortable. He is genuinely just a little sweetheart of a boy who deserves to be cherished and treated how he should have been all along. 

 

Charlie is being fostered in Swadlincote, Derbys but can be rehomed further afield to the right home subject to a homecheck and adoption donation of £250
