Chloe.jpg

Chloe is around 2yrs old, tortie and white female, she is spayed, fully vaccinated, flea and worm treated and microchipped and has a clean bill of health. She will be rehomed with 5 weeks free pet insurance.

Chloe was found in a distressed state giving birth on the streets, she had a kitten stuck and was rushed to the emergency vets who needed to perform a C section. Sadly most of her kittens perished and the remaining 2 were hand reared as she was in no fit state to feed them and was very shut down after her traumatic experience, all so very sad.

Once she was a bit more stable she was discharged back into our care where she has made a full recovery back to physical health but emotionally she is still a very cautious girl who still wary of people after what she has been through. Her foster mum is doing a great job with her and despite Chloe still giving out a little hiss of protest sometimes she is actually starting to enjoy some "forced love" in the guise of stokes and head tickles and learning that human hands can be kind.

Chloe is seeking a really kind, quiet, VERY patient but confident and experienced new feline home who will understand that she wont want to interact for a while and is willing to take things slowly to continue building that trust and not feel frustrated that she doesn't seek attention or come and sit with you......that will be much further down the line. We know its a big ask for people to take on these shyer cats but she also deserves the chance to find that special home and we love to hear the stories down the line how these cats just blossom in the right home.

Chloe is in foster with other cats and she gets along fine with other felines but doesn't really show any inclination to interact with them so she could either live in a multicat household or be the only cat. She is used to seeing small cat friendly dogs but any children in the home would need to be quieter children really.

Chloe is good with the litter tray and is eating well and enjoys wet and dry food. She will wont be ready to go outside for a long time yet until her confidence blossoms but a home with a large catio or even better, a cat proofed garden (secured with Protectapet) would be ideal for her so she can have some freedom without being too scared to come back.

Chloe is being fostered in Swadlincote, South Derby's, home offers are subject to home check and a min adoption donation of £50 ( the right home is more important than the full donation)
