Ella is a 1yr old roan cocker spaniel, she is spayed, microchipped, flea and worm treated and had a 1st vaccination so far. She will be rehomed with 5 weeks free pet insurance and has a clean bill of health

Ella came to us from the stray pound so we have no history on her . She was found straying in a real state, she absolutely stank and was covered in dreadlocks of mud and pooh and is yellow from urine stains, goodness knows what conditions the poor girl had been forced to live in. She is typical of the little working cockers we see bred and abandoned all the time. She is a tiny girl at 10.2 kg but is also thin so had a couple of kilos to gain.

Ella is little bonkers girl but a real sweetie, she is extremely friendly and loving and is just desperate for love and attention she will jump up constantly for a fuss and can puppy nip still if she doesn’t get your undivided love attention away but this will calm down as she settles, everything is so new to her. She has quickly got the idea of house training despite obviously previously living outside and she loves her home comforts of a nice clean warm bed by the radiator or a snuggle on the sofa

Ella will never have known life as an only dog and she gets on great with them, she is a very submissive girl to other dogs. She will need a home with another neutered similar sized friend in her new home as she wouldnt cope as an only dog. She gets on very well with another little spaniel who arrived at the same time as her called Nora so they could be homed as a pair

Ella is great with livestock and horses and doesnt seem bothered by cats she can live with gentle dog savvy children age 8yrs and over (just because of the mouthing there is no malice in this girl).

She is all over the place on the lead so that will need some work, she travels ok in the car and her recall is good, she is a typical working type spaniel nose to the ground and tail wagging. Given her breed she needs a super active home who can give her all the exercise and mental stimulation she needs

Ella will suit a more rural environment with a nice enclosed garden to play in. She is ok being left for a few hours after plenty of exercise and sleeps downstairs quietly at night with the other dogs

Being fostered in Swadlincote but can be rehomed further afield subject to homecheck and donation of £300
