Gypsy is a nearly 5yr old mastiff (Boerboel), she is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, flea and worm treated and has also had a dental. She has a clean bill of health and will be rehomed with 5 weeks free pet insurance.

Gypsy came to us from the stray pound after being abandoned, she has clearly been used to produce many litters before being dumped and bears signs that she wasn't living in the most luxurious environment!  She arrived with some infected skin and some pressure sores.

Well what can we tell you about this girl apart from she is absolutely AMAZING! she has such a wonderful nature, she is a comical, playful clown who just loves attention.  After the life she has clearly led it just amazes us how trusting these dogs are but Gypsy is one of the biggest, softed girls you will ever meet.  She is so happy to greet people, even strangers, she loves attention and will throw herself on her back for a belly rub.

Gypsy is very playful and loves some tough rope type toys to throw around and play tuggy with, she can be a destroyer of soft toys and dog beds and likes to de stuff them but other than that she is a really good girl and hasnt been destructive.

Because of her past life, she loves being outside and will sit or play in the garden for hours but she is equally enjoying her home comforts and will try and sneak her way upstairs onto the bed with you if allowed!

Gypsy is generally very good with other dogs and will greet them nicely and play bow with them, she did find it a struggle when she was brought into a large mix pack of dogs and was a bit overwhelmed with them all but she tried so hard. We have since moved her to a quieter foster home where she is excelling. She can happily be rehomed as the only dog in the home or she could live with another laid back, friendly, neutered, large breed male dog.

Gypsy is absolutely fine being left for several hours in the day, especially if she can have some access to the garden, she sleeps quietly downstairs at night, walks beautifully on the lead and travels well in the car. She is great with the vet and groomer.

Due to her size (40kg) and given we dont know her full background resident children should be older and large breed savvy, she cannot be homed with cats or small furries.

Gypsy will need a large breed experienced home with a lovely garden for her to play in, she is being fostered in Alvaston, Derbys but can be rehomed further afield to the right home subject to homecheck and adoption donation of £300
