Coco is a 1yr old chocolate cocker spaniel, she is spayed, microchipped, flea and worm treated and has had a 1st vaccination so far. She will be rehomed with 5 weeks free pet insurance.

Coco came to us in a real state, she was skin and bone and covered in itchy mange. This has now been treated and although she is still a little threadbare her coat is now growing back in lovely and she will soon have the super thick full coat that she should have. She is having a weekly medicated bath and shampoo will be supplied but she has no other health issues and is fit and well.

Coco's story is all too familiar here sadly, someone went to view puppies and when they got there asked to see the mum. A dirty kennel door was opened and there was poor Coco living in her own filth in a real state......she wasnt even mum to the pups, she has never been bred from! Luckily the kind people asked if they could take her instead knowing they couldnt leave her behind and luckily they agreed!

Coco is THE SWEETEST girl, she is super friendly, so loving and absolutely crave attention, its heartbreaking considering how she was kept. She is VERY needy and will jump up and clamber for attention a lot and is very persistent so to take on this girl you need to want a dog who wants you! and needs lots of fusses and cuddles.

Coco is a typical high energy cocker who absolutely loves to run, she loves playing fetch and needs a place where she can safely run off lead every day to burn some of that energy. Her recall isnt too bad at all but she is a cocker so loves to go exploring the hedgerow and woods to see what scents she can find.

Coco is great with other dogs and is living within a large pack here, she likes to play with other dogs but isnt afraid to tell anyone off if they get too rough (like our pesky giant pup we have here). Preference will be given to homes with another neutered playful spaniel type in the home.

Coco can live with dog savvy cats and also with respectful children aged 5yrs and over.

She is 95% housetrained, sleeps quietly downstairs at night with the other dogs, she isnt a barker. She is strong on the lead as she isnt really used to walking on one but travels well in the car in a secure crate. She is a door darter so a new home will need to have front door security (ideally double doors or a porch etc) and not go out directly onto a busy road.

Being fostered in Swadlincote, Derbys but can be rehomed further afield subject to homecheck and adoption donation of £300

If you have the time, energy and experience to give this gorgeous loving girl the forever home she needs please email us telling us all about your home offer including address and contact details to wonkypetsrescue@gmail.com
