Jessie and Lily are a bonded pair of terrier girls who are seeking a home together as they have never been apart. Jessie (white rough coat is 15 whilst Lily will be 10 in Feb), they are both spayed, microchipped and fully vaccinated, flea and worm treated. They will be rehomed with 5 weeks free pet insurance.
Both girls have had full blood work ups and huge dentals with us having many teeth extractions but their mouths are now lovely and healthy. Jessie has some slight age related changes to her liver but nothing of concern to the vets and she is obviously a little arthritic given her age so has daily Metacam we will supply her with some) and joint supplements and she is doing great and is happy and comfortable.
We were asked to help with this lovely pair when sadly their elderly owners both passed away leaving them alone at home with a carer trying to look after them, we were so happy to be able to help them.
They arrived in foster after a very long car journey and trotted into the foster home to greet the many other little dogs there with ease, they are really great with other dogs and have been no trouble. They are typical terriers around cats, especially Lily so will need a cat free home however.
Jessie and Lily are now eating much better now that their mouths are more comfortable but Jessie can spot a tablet in her food a mile off! she's not daft. They both have mostly wet food now as both lost a lot of teeth at the dental.
They are really good girls in the house, they have no separation anxiety, they sleeps down stairs at night with the other dogs, they travel well in the car and are housetrained. Jessie can be feisty with the vets when being manhandled but Lily is a sweetie. They walk nicely on the lead and still really enjoy a nice steady walk, especially Lily, Jessie doesnt go so far.
They have been around young children in foster however we feel they need a quieter home without resident young children (visiting grandchildren etc would be fine as long as they are respectful)
They will need a home with a nice secure garden to potter around in and someone who is fit enough to be able to give them a short daily walk. They really will make lovely companions for a mature retired person.
Being fostered in Swadlincote, Derby's but can be rehomed further afield subject to home check and adoption donation of £250 for the pair ( a great retirement home is more important for us than large adoption fees)
