Wendy is a 3yr old Shar Pei x girl, she is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated and will be rehomed with 5 weeks free pet insurance and a free rehoming pack.
Wendy has a real story behind her bless her, she arrived in rescue heavily pregnant after she had been used to regularly churn out puppies for profit by her original owner. She was transferred to another rescue who looked after her whilst she delivered a healthy litter of pups, she was well cared for and had everything she needed. Once her pups were weaned she was placed in a couple of foster homes but sadly non of them worked out for her and when her rescue closed its doors she was left with no where to go so we offered to take her back under our wing.
The amount of change Wendy has had over the past few months has really unsettled this lovely girl and she has been displaying some separation anxiety not surprisingly. What she needs MOST OF ALL now is new family who will stick by her, give her the help and the stability she craves and allow her to de stress and unpack all her baggage that she has accumulated over these past weeks and months.
Wendy is an absolutely sweetheart temperament wise, she loves everyone she meets and is great with children so on this rare occasion we are happy to consider homes with respectful dog savvy children aged 5yrs and over.
Unfortunately although Wendy used to be fine with other dogs, since having her pups and with all the moving around she isnt currently happy with other dogs around her but be firmly believe with is something that can be worked on and brought back with time and input once she settles into a new home. For now though at least she will need to be the only pet in the home.
Wendy is strong on the lead at first but does settle down, she travels well in the car and is housetrained. As mentioned she does currently get anxious when left and will need a home with someone around most of the time and with the time and patience to work on her SA issues, there is no quick fix.
She is only a dinky girl and loves a snuggle on the sofa with you.
She has suffered with some poor coat condition and patch hair loss through having the pups and a bit of stress but this is much improved, she will need to stay on a good quality grain free diet to help maintain her coat going forward.
Wendy is being fostered in South Birmingham but can be rehomed further afield subject to homecheck and donation of £175
