JR is a 4 1/2yr old JRT, he is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated and will be rehomed with 5 weeks free pet insurance.

We were asked to help find JR a home by another rescue who needed some help with him, he arrived with them a nervous, fearful little lad but has really blossomed in foster and now just needs to find the right home to help him carry on his journey.

JR didn't have the best start in life and was a reactive and frightened boy, he has thrived on routine and clear guidance which has helped him build his confidence and he is now a bright, happy little chap who is loving life. JR still remains very fearful of the lead and of quick sudden movements and he can be fear aggressive if mis handled, we need a VERY dog savvy and terrier experienced home for this boy who will listen to the experience of the foster home and what we have learnt about JR during his time with us, we dont want him placed back in a situation where he feels the need to bite because he isn't being listened to or understood.

JR is a typical terrier, he is strong willed when he wants to be and a tenancious character, he absolutely loves his long walks and is a bundle of energy. He will need a home with an experienced terrier owner who can provide him with the confidence to help him continue to blossom along with plenty of exercise on a daily basis.

JR is ok with some other dogs but can be bossy and a little reactive with others, he tolerates the resident foster cat but is probably best homed as the only dog and in a feline and small furry free home. He will make a great companion for someone who is experienced with terriers with attitude and who has a good understanding of canine behaviour and body language.

JR isn't suitable to live with children sadly.

JR loves to travel in the car, he is clean, quiet and non destructive in the homes and walks ok on the lead once he settles down. He is just a dinky chap with short little legs and those gorgeous big ears...who could resist.

Being fostered in South Birmingham but can be rehomed further afield subject to homecheck and donation.

If you have the right experience and the right home to offer this lad just what he needs please email us telling us all about your home offer and contact details to wonkypetsrescue@gmail.com
