Natasha is around 3yrs, old tabby and white female, she is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated. She will be rehomed with 5 weeks free pet insurance.
Natasha came to us last summer along with her 7 gorgeous babies after she had given birth in a garden in Birmingham and the tom cats were trying to attack the kittens, we just had to help them all. She raised her kittens and we thought we found her a perfect home but very sadly despite all our checks etc
this new owner also badly let her down. We found out that poor Natasha had been straying again for several months without so much of a word to us from this owner (who only adopted her at the end of Oct last year) and they still havent bothered to
contact us despite repeated attempts. Being the resourceful cat she is, she was visiting numerous properties and being fed by a few people, overfed in fact and she arrived back with us obese!
It was also noted that she was a little lame on one back leg, this has been checked by our vet and she has a luxating patella, it's only a grade 2 and its moving freely and is not needing any intervention (our vet is an orthopaedic vet so we completely trust her judgement). She feels the extra weight Natasha is carrying (she is currently nearly 5kg after losing quite a bit since being back with us this last month already) is adding more pressure to the joint and once she can get back to a healthier weight it really won't cause her an issue, She doesnt appear lame now or in any discomfort. She may well benefit long term from some joint supplements adding into her food just to support long term health of the joint.
Natasha has clearly had a tough life so far and has been through such a lot. She is understandably a little shy and nervous and takes some time to get to you know you but she trusts her foster humans and enjoys a gentle fuss, she really just needs a quieter, experienced cat home where she can be given time to blossom because given time, she really will and it will be so rewarding. She has absolutely no malice in her at all and she deserves the chance to be loved and know what it's like to be cared for after her original owners and then a 2nd owner clearly let her down badly.
Natasha is eating well now but limited to one pouch of wet food a day and some dry food to support weightloss, she has been really clean with the litter tray too. She can happily live with
other neutered friendly cats, dogs would be too much for her but she would be ok with older, quieter children aged 8yrs plus.
Natasha needs a home WELL AWAY FROM ANY BUSY OR FAST ROADS with a nice garden to play in once fully settled or we will consider an indoor home with a decent sized catio.
Being fostered in Swadlincote but can be rehomed further afield subject to homecheck and adoption donation of £100
