***IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT*** 9 March 2020
Many of you will know that Wonky Pets Rescue was set up over 8yrs ago by Tracy Benjamin and Bernadette Calladine who, over those years, built a great rescue helping literally thousands of animals together.
With immediate effect Berni will sadly no longer be part of rescue, this is purely for personal reasons so please respect her privacy by not bombarding her with questions or tagging her into dogs needing help etc.
Wonky Pets Rescue remains open and fully operational but will now operate just from our Swadlincote location alongside our small team of dedicated foster homes. The Birmingham location will no longer be taking in or housing animals going forward and we are no longer able to take in Shar Pei within the rescue. We have been first port of call for many a challenging pei over the years and we know this will have an impact on other rescues.
Berni and Tracy remain friends, there has been no falling out, no gossip to be had and all the animals are being catered for and looked after until their relocation is complete.
Please bear with us at this challenging time and I will do my best to answer any questions or concerns anyone has.
Best regards Tracy.
We were chosen for a donation from Hurtta
WOW!!
Friends, you have certainly shown the true meaning of giving with our Springtime Charity post!
Can you believe that we received over 5 000 comments ?!? We are so speechless and thrilled for your will to help those in need. Thank you all for taking part and commenting the names of the charity organizations you would have liked us to help! Choosing the charities was not easy, excellent options and all definitely could use the help for the important work that they're doing. Especially, the selfless work of the voluntaries deserves all of our respect! Here are the organizations we chose this time. They will be receiving some Hurtta products to help them to carry on the good work: 1. Dobermann rescue UK & Europe, 2. Merseyside Dog's Home 3. Wonky Pets Rescue

Wonderful Donation
Many thanks to my daughter Ashton Whiting and Pets@Home in Northampton for kindly donating us this dog and cat food

Wonky Pets gets a Generous Donation
We want to say a HUGE thank you to Lily's Kitchen for their generous donation of two pallet loads of wet dog and cat food.
Berni and Fiona (one of our volunteers) with Simba and Sunnie the shar pei's who couldn't wait to tuck in

January Vet Bill Appeal
Well what a month January has been, one of our most expensive EVER with our vet bills for the month totalling over £7200.
We are having to close our doors to new intakes (we will still honour the spaces we have promised to the next few animals) until we can get our current vet bills cleared otherwise it is just irresponsible to commit ourselves any further and compromise the care and veterinary treatment these animals need. We have to give our existing residents priority until we can find them their forever homes.
So two calls to action from our lovely supporters please, firstly please share our website www.wonkypetsrescue.com with our lovely animals looking for homes.
Secondly if anyone can spare even £1 towards our outstanding bills please donate via paypal by clicking the PayPal Button under the picture of Brian. We really appreciate your contributions.

GDUK Donation
We would like to say a MASSIVE thank you to the group Great Danes UK (GDUK) for their amazing donation today of £730.52 , all raised in the last quarter by their very generous members. As many of you know Great Danes are a lifelong passion of mine (Tracy) and we try and help as many as we can (along with the many Shar Pei which are Berni's passion) so we feel very honoured to be supported by people who are also passionate about the breed. Thank you from all of us. xell people more about this item. What's it about and what makes it interesting? Give people the info they need to go ahead and take the action you want.
