Pansy is around 3yrs old, she is a cream French Bulldog girl, she is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, flea and worm treated and had a scale and polish on her teeth. She will be rehomed with 5 weeks free pet insurance.
Pansy came to us as a welfare case from the stray pound, when found she was in a real state bless her, she was skin and bone, has clearly been heavily bred from including having more than one C section, had bad skin and an ulcerated mouth. She was then poorly with kennel cough that she contracted whilst in the pound and given her breed suffered with it more than most. This girl has really been through the mill and yet remains the sweetest little dog.
Pansy has now completed all her vet work with the exception of a 2nd vax needed in a few weeks (can be done at a local vet), she has gained lots of weight and is ready to now find her forever family who can cherish her and never let her suffer again.
Pansy LOVES to be on your lap! She is sooooo people friendly and will be straight over for loves and cuddles and really is the loveliest of dogs, she weighs just over 8kg now so is small in stature. She really will make a lovely companion for someone but she is only a young dog still so will need a home with someone who is fit and active enough to provide her with plenty of nice walks and take her out and about to exciting new places as she probably hasnt been able to enjoy any of that in her previous life.
Pansy is in foster with lots of other dogs and generally gets on well with them, there have been a few occasions where she has had a go at some of the others over beds, toys or food so if she were to be homed with another resident dog there may need to be an adjustment time for her, or she can happily be homed as an only dog with someone around for a good part of the day. She is definitely a "people person". Pansy cannot live with cats but she loves children and will try and kiss them, we are happy to consider a home with respectful dog savvy children who are aged 5yrs and over.
Pansy walks ok on the lead and travels ok in the care, she gets a little stressed in the vets and will wriggle and pant but theres no malice, she is absolutely fine meeting other dogs and people out and about too. She sleeps down stairs at night quietly and her house training is doing well.
She is eating really well and is on a grain free food to help keep her skin and ears healthy. She will need a home with a nice safe and secure garden to play in.
Pansy is being fostered in Swadlincote, South Derbys but she can be rehomed further afield to the right home subject to homecheck and adoption donation of £300.
If you can offer this gorgeous little one her forever home please send us a DETAILED email telling us all about yourself and your home offer along with your FULL ADDRESS and contact number to wonkypetsrescue@gmail.com.
