Peta (male) and Piper (female) are 6-7 month old siblings, they are both neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated and have a clean bill of health. They will be rehomed with 5 weeks free pet insurance.

Towards the end of last year we were made aware of a family of cats living in an elderly ladies garden, as well as mum and dad there had been 2 litters of kittens, Peta and Piper are part of the last litter. Over the course of a couple of weeks we managed to trap the whole family of 8 cats.

We have been working on socialising Peta and Piper in one of our experienced foster homes, getting them used to life indoors as domestic pets, having been born and living in the garden for the first 14 weeks of their lives they lacked that initial human touch which is so important but were used to seeing people daily and recognised that they were feeders and caregivers so whilst these two little ones were very scared we have been able to get them to the point now where they will allow strokes. They are going to need a patient, experienced and understanding new home with someone who can continue to give them the time and exposure they need to continue building their confidence.  It's not an easy task and it can be frustrating at times BUT it is SOOOO rewarding to watch them blossom over time and have the life they deserve.

Peta and Piper can happily live with other cats (in fact other confident, friendly cats will help them), they are used to small very cat friendly dogs but will need a home with older, quieter children who will understand that these kittens will take a long time to want fuss from them.

They are great with the litter tray and they are eating really well and enjoy both wet and dry food.  Their ideal home would possibly be one with a catio or fully enclosed cat proofed garden where in several months time once settled they can get a degree of freedom, they may eventually be confident enough to free roam but currently it would be too risky to let them out.

Being fostered in Swadlincote, Derbys but can be rehomed further afield subject to homecheck and adoption donation of £100 for the pair.
