Poppy is a 13 month old pure white female, she is spayed,
microchipped, fully vaccinated, flea and worm treated and will be rehomed
with 5 weeks free pet insurance.
Poppy came to us after we attended a situation at a property where
there were over 20 cats and kittens who had all been interbreeding out
of control, sadly they were running in so many fleas it's one of the
worst we have seen, they were all underweight, had sores on their skin
from the fleas and some had eye infections too. Poppy had already had
kittens who had just been given away before we got to them, they were
far too young to leave mum and suffering with flea anaemia but there
is nothing we could do to get them back into our care sadly. Poor
Poppy was worn out and bereft at all her kittens being taken from her
and she was very subdued for a while as well as still being full of
milk.
Since being with us for the past weeks she has gained weight, her skin
has cleared up nicely and she has recovered from her sore eyes, she is
still a very shy, quiet little cat who sits and watches rather than
interacting too much currently but given time and patience she will
continue to find her feet and grow in confidence.
Obviously these cats have always lived with lots of their siblings and
family group and Poppy would definitely struggle to be the only cat in
the home. They can of course be homed with a family member also
looking for a home or
can go on their own as long as there is already a friendly neutered
resident cat in the home that they can make friends with.
Poppy is a sweet natured, quiet girl, she may take a while to
gain her confidence in a new home but it will be so worth it to see her blossom.
She isnt used to living with dogs and can live with quieter respectful
children aged 7yrs and over. She is clean with the litter tray and is enjoying Felix As Good As It Looks or Whiskas in Jelly and IAMs dry food. She likes a few Dreamies too.
Poppy will need a home WELL AWAY FROM ANY BUSY OR FAST ROADS with a nice garden to play in safely, she wont go far she is a homely girl.
Being fostered in Swadlincote, South Derbys but can be rehomed further
afield subject to homecheck and adoption donation of £90
