Ruby is a 5yr old Beagle girl, she is spayed, microchipped, flea and wormed and vaccinated. She will be rehomed with 5 weeks free pet insurance. She has a clean bill of health and just needs to lose a little bit of weight.

Ruby was rehomed by us 3yrs ago but has sadly been returned due to a bite incident in the home. She was originally passed through numerous homes in her first couple of years, the last one asking for our help after they took her out of an unsuitable situation.

Ruby is very much a typical Beagle, she can be vocal, constantly on the go and can still be a bit destructive when left to her own devices, they can certainly be a demanding breed :)

As an only dog she is much calmer and will listen more to instruction and seek attention, get her with another dog and all she wants to do is play play play so she definitely needs another canine pal in her new home who is extremely high energy, playful and placid. Any resident dog should also be neutered and we would prefer a home with another beagle/hound.

Ruby absolutely loves her walks and her recall is now good and she loves having a good run around. She is an active girl and will need plenty of exercise and nice country walks to keen her both mentally and physically stimulated.

She is crate trained as she has proved to be destructive and a theif if left to her own devices the same as most hounds so as a result she isnt suitable to be left alone for long periods of time so a full time working home isnt suitable for this girl. She will be protective of items she steals and items should be "swopped" for a tasty treat rather than reaching into her space as she will resource guard her prizes and her space. She shouldnt be allowed on beds or furniture and she doesnt like to be disturbed when resting so a designated bed or a cosy covered crate in a quiet area is a good safe space for Ruby.

Ruby isnt suitable to live with cats or with children sadly.

Being fostered in Redditch but can be rehomed further afield to the right home subject to homecheck and donation.
