Rufus is an 18 month old black male, he is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated and has a clean bill of health. He will be rehomed with 5 weeks free pet insurance.

Rufus came to us as a stray after living rough on the the streets of Birmingham, he had no home and not even any shelter, luckily a kind lady who feeds the strays reached out for some help for him.

Rufus has been with us for a few weeks now and is finding it increasingly stressful being in the cattery, he doesn't want any human interaction from us at all so we are seeking a nice outdoor rural home for him where he can live a free life in safety and in return can help be a deterrent for any unwelcome rodent visitors.  He would suit a country/rural house with maybe a shed or summerhouse in the garden or a smallholding where someone lives onsite.

He is absolutely fine with other cats and would definitely like some feline company in his new home. He will need a dry, draught free place to stay which can be totally secured for the first few weeks whilst he settles in, he will need daily feeding even once released and someone to generally look out for his wellbeing. He isn't a feral, he is just scared and worried currently so over time he is likely to warm to you and become much more approachable.

He is clean with the litter tray and eating really well, we leave dry food down to graze on and he has 2 pouches of wet food a day.

Rufus will need a rural home WELL AWAY FROM ANY BUSY OR FAST ROADS where he can roam safely.   He would keep away from children and dogs but other resident neutered cats would be welcome.

Being fostered in Swadlincote, Derby's, we would usually bring a cat like Rufus to you to settle them in initially and we can travel up to an hour of so. We ask for a minimum donation of £30 for our outdoor cats to help towards all the vet work we have done.

If you can offer the right rural home for this lad please email us telling us all about your home offer including full address and contact details to wonkypetsrescue@gmail.com
