Badger is a 9yr old black and white male, he is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated. He has a slight HM and was tested negative for hyperthyroidism with us too  otherwise has a clean bill of health and will be rehomed with 5 weeks free pet insurance.

Poor Badger came to us in December along with 4 other cats from an emergency welfare situation.  They had been living in absolute
squalor, were skin and bone, running live with hundreds of fleas and full of worms, he had a sore ear,  and of course wasn't neutered.
These poor poor cats had been very badly neglected over a long period.

Badger is a gorgeous super friendly boy, he really does enjoy a fuss and is always ready and waiting for us in the cattery.....he LOVES his food!

He is quite a confident boy and slotted in easily here.

He has lived with the other cats  and gets on ok with the other boys, he could be happy as the only cat where he can have all the attention and all the food or could live with another calm feline, either a resident cat or his son Bebe.

As you can imagine after being starving he really does enjoy his wet and dry food and gets through 3 pouches a day and a bowl of dry, he still eats it like he is ravenous and this will take time to slow down but he has gained a lovely lot of weight already.

The cats use of the litter tray wasn't good when they first arrived but over the weeks they have improved however they will only toilet in a clean tray, so if another has already used it to pooh in they will go on the floor of the cattery. Its not surprising given the place
they were living was filthy with no clean amenities to use so they are naturally seeking out a clean space.  As long as a tray is kept clean we don't think this will be an ongoing problem but new owners will need to be prepared.

Badger isn't used to being around dogs but may be confident enough to
live with a small cat friendly dog. He is fine with children 6yrs plus and cat savvy, he is ok being picked up and will come and sit with
you. He travels ok and was good with the vets.

Badger will need a home WELL AWAY FROM ANY BUSY OR FAST ROADS with a nice safe garden to play in once fully settled in. Being fostered in Swadlincote but can be rehomed further afield subject to home check and adoption donation of £75
