Lady is a 20 month old black and tan cockapoo, she is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated and will be rehomed with 5 weeks free pet insurance.

Lady was handed to us several weeks ago after a lady saw her being advertised by her breeder looking terrified and filthy, she felt sorry for her and bought her. Sadly this does mean the breeder continued to profit from his bad ways but luckily for Lady she is now safe.

When she arrived she was a completely petrified, nervous and broken little dog. A typical little unsocialised pup who had never lived inside, experienced the outside world or home comforts and a loving hand.
She is such a tiny little girl.

In the weeks that Lady has been with us her foster mum has done a great job in helping to socialise her and build her confidence. She does still have a way to go especially when meeting new people and her lead work but she has come so far already. We are seeking a VERY special home who ideally have previous experience of living with a shy and scared puppy farm type dog.

Lady is a full on livewire, she loves to play, is into everything and is a typical little cockapoo thief, leave anything lying around and be prepared to loose it as several shoes and her fosterers bank card have found out lol.

Lady 100% needs at least one other super playful, energetic small neutered dog in her forever home, she can be very full on with her games so a resident dog needs to be up for plenty of rough and tumble. She needs another dog to help to also continue to build her confidence.

Her house training has come on really well but be prepared for the odd accident, she sleeps on her fosterers bed and loves to snuggle right into your neck for security. She travels ok in the car in a crate or secure harness, she has learnt what it feels like to walk on a harness and lead but does get panicky really easily. She will need a rural or village home with nice quiet country walks, she is not suited to living in a busy town environment with traffic rumbling past.

Lady can happy live with dog savvy cats and we can consider homes with a quieter dog savvy child age 8yrs and over, she wouldnt cope well in a busy family home with multiple kids and lots of people coming and going.

Lady is being fostered in Swadlincote but can be rehomed further afield subject to homecheck and donation of £250. Bearing in mind she is shy with new people you may need to visit with you other dog on more than one occasion so please consider travelling distance before applying.
