Luna is a 4yr old long haired black and white female, she is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, flea and worm treated and will be rehomed with 5 weeks free pet insurance, she has a clean bill of health.

Luna was originally a stray and spayed and ear tipped by a national cat organisation, she was taken into a family home where she settled well at first living with other cats and small dogs but then small children came along and Luna became increasingly stressed around both kids and other animals and it just wasn't the right environment for her. She had stopped grooming herself as was really going downhill.

She came into a very experienced foster home who provided her with a safe space in a cosy crate and gave her lots of time to decompress, she was groomed so she felt a lot more comfortable and over the space of a couple of months she has gradually begun to relax more and more with the help of the fosterer who has done an amazing job with her.  They have now built a lovely level of trust and Luna ventures out of her safe space onto the bed for some fuss and attention, knowing she won't be overwhelmed, knowing she is safe and that she has her bolt hole to go back to when she is ready.

Luna won't be an easy cat who will wander into a new home and settle straight away, she will need someone experienced with lots of time and patience to slowly build a bond with her and work on trust and friendship so that Luna can feel safe and secure to interact. We appreciate that most people want a fussy cat that will slot straight in but it doesnt mean to say that the right special person isnt out there to give Luna the chance she needs. In the right home with the right person she will thrive.

Luna would be comfortable living as an indoor cat or ideally with access to a catio or a cat proofed garden so she can't escape.  She will need a quiet home with just one or two adults and no children. She could live as the only pet or would possibly live with a calm mature cat and even a small cat friendly dog.

She really loves her food and her treats of Dreamies and Lik-e-liks, she is clean with the litter tray.

Luna is being fostered in Swadlincote but can be rehomed further afield to the right home subject to homecheck and an adoption donation of £50
