Ted is a 13yr old Jack Russell Terrier, he is castrated, microchipped, fully vaccinated, flea and worm treated and will be rehomed with 5 weeks free pet insurance.
Ted came to us after his owner sadly passed away, he has been well loved and cared for, Ted has had a dental fairly recently and his teeth are good, he does have a fatty lump on one of his back legs which has been tested and is just a benign lipoma, it's been there years and causes no problems. He does get blocked anal glands and has them expressed every few months but we have started him on a supplement to help now. He otherwise has a clean bill of health.
Ted is such a GOOD boy, we honestly cannot fault him in any way. He is a real gentleman and an absolute sweetheart of a dog. He arrived at his foster home a little bewildered but settled in so quickly with no trouble at all. At 13 he is not considered ancient for a terrier who have brilliant lifespans and there is certainly plenty of life in this older boy yet so please dont overlook him.
Ted is great with other dogs and is in foster with lots of other small dogs, he can easily be rehomed with another friendly neutered canine pal or as the only dog with plenty of human company. He is good around dog savvy cats and has interacted with young children in foster and his former home, being a mature boy now he wouldnt want to live with very young children but visiting grandchildren would be absolutely no problem.
Ted is house trained, ok being left for a few hours, he walks lovely on the lead and travels well in the car and really enjoys his walks. He is good with the vet albeit a bit nervous and sleeps quietly at night. Ted has been allowed to get a bit overweight so a better diet and increased walks along with daily joint supplements will soon help him get fitter.
He will need a home with a nice garden to play in and lie in the sunshine and someone who is fit and active enough to take him on some nice daily walks.
Being fostered in Swadlincote, Derbys but can be rehomed further afield subject to homecheck and adoption donation of £200
