Lottie and Amber are a bonded pair of Standard Poodle girls looking for a 5* home together, we will not split them so please dont ask.

 

Lottie (parti coloured) and Amber (cream) are 7 and a half yrs old , they are both spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, flea and worm treated and have had a scale and polish on their teeth. They will be rehomed with 5 weeks free pet insurance.

Amber has a completely clean bill of health, Lottie arrived suffering with an awful long standing ear infection which turned out to be pseudomonas, a particularly difficult strain of bacteria to completely eradicate long term. It's only in her left ear but it will need daily maintenance and cleaning to ensure it stays under control for life.

So onto the girls themselves. Well when I say I am going to cry when they leave for their forever home is an understatement, these girls are very special and I just cannot say a bad word about them, I adore them. They came to us along with 2 other dogs after their owner was moving and couldn't take them BUT we then discovered they had all been used for breeding and clearly hadn't had the best care and attention due to the state of their coats and general condition (all the dogs were underweight).

Amber is a super gentle, super friendly, loving girl who just wants to be cuddled and fussed all day if she could, she strokes you (and other dogs) with her paw so gently and climbs on you for attention, she really is the sweetest girl. Lottie is a gorgeous loving girl too but a little more aloof than her friend (having to have daily medication for her ears over several weeks hasn't helped bless her), she is loving and friendly too but likes her own space a bit more.

Both girls absolutely love charging around our paddock and on our land with the other dogs and love a game of chase, they love their rural walks and have good recall. They travel really well in the car and will just jump in and settle down, they love going off exploring different places and walk nicely on the lead too. They would love a home that can take them on adventures together.

The girls are totally clean in the house, sleep quietly downstairs at night, they aren't destructive and have no separation anxiety. They are fantastic with the vets and with the groomers and they have no issues around food or toys with either people or other dogs. They are now eating really well and have both gained a good deal of weight and are in perfect condition now (they now weigh around 25/26kg from 20kgs that they arrived at).

The girls have such loving temperaments we are happy to consider homes with sensible resident children as young as 5yrs and they would be fine with even younger visiting children. They aren't used to cats but are great around the livestock and equines here and of course are good with other dogs too. I do feel the girls will be best as being the only pair of dogs in their new home as Amber can get a little needy of her person and would rather other dogs were out of the equation, if they are to live with another dog it needs to be a dog of similar size to them.

Being fostered in Swadlincote, South Derbyshire but can be rehomed further afield to the perfect 5 star home subject to homecheck and an adoption donation of £550 for the pair.
