Barney is a 10yr old Lhasa Apso, he is castrated, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated. He has also had an extensive dental with us needing 22 teeth removing, he already had some missing so hasn't many left now but he loves his food and it really doesn't hold him back. He will be rehomed with 5 weeks free pet insurance and has a clean bill of health from our vet.

Barney came into rescue along with 3 other dogs after his owner sadly passed away, he had been in the same home since a pup.

Barney is a super little chap, he is a happy, friendly and sociable boy who loves attention. He has never lived as an only dog, in fact he has always lived in a multidog household so he will need a new home with at least one resident friendly, neutered canine pal already in situ he just wouldn't cope of be happy on his own. Barney can always be found snuggled in a bed with one of the many other dogs in his foster home and he gets on with everyone well, he doesn't like other dogs near him when eating but other than that will happily share anything.

Barney really loves his walks, he might be 10 but he is active and sprightly so please don't let his age put you off. He will need a home with a nice secure garden to play in and with someone who can provide him with a good daily walk come rain or shine.  He is used to having company in his old home so wouldn't want to be left all day but he is fine for a few hours with other dogs for company.

He is housetrained, sleeps quietly at night downstairs, is great with the vet, ok being groomed (although is a wriggler in the bath and you get as wet as him!) and travels ok in the car. He is not only good with other dogs but is also good with cats and adores children. Just an all round lovely little lad.

Being fostered in Swadlincote, Derby's but can be rehomed further afield to the right home subject to home check and adoption donation of £200
