Pheobe.gif

Pheobe is a 4yr old cavapoo female, she is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, flea and worm treated and will be re-homed with 5 weeks free pet insurance.

Pheobe came to us after her elderly owners were struggling to cope with her and also could not afford the surgery she needed for bi lateral luxating patella which were causing her pain and discomfort over a lengthy period of time despite pain medication.

Pheobe has now had her surgery and undergone 10 weeks of post op care, rehab and physio and is doing brilliantly. One leg has completely healed and been signed off, he other leg is doing well but just needs a final check in around 4 weeks time and for this reason we need to rehome her within easy travelling distance of our vets here in  Wadlincote/Burton area so we can support with her final sign off.  In every other respect she is good to go and needs to be in her forever home now :) Please dont apply if you are hours away.

Pheobe is a super sweet and friendly girl, She is confident, loving and affectionate and loves to snuggle up with you. Her former owners
read her all wrong and because she could become vocal with some other dogs on a walk, took this to mean she didnt like other dogs. She LOVES other dogs and has a lovely group of dog walking friends now who she loves to interact and play with and now she is allowed much more exercise and longer walks she loves to have a run around with her friends.  It's really brought out the fun side for Pheobe that she was clearly missing and for this reason we are seeking a home with another
friendly, small, playful, neutered dog as a companion and playmate.

Pheobe is a weaver and a bit of a puller on the lead, she hadn't really been taught otherwise so this will need some further work in her new home so she needs an owner who is fit, active and able to walk and control her properly. She travels well in the car and is great with the vet and the groomer.  Her recal has only been tested in a safe fully enclosed area but is pretty good, a long line offers that added security.

Pheobe is clean in the house and LOVES her food, a bit too much as she is on a diet at the moment as due to her restricted exercise during her recovery she has gained a bit along with of course loosing some muscle tone, to good regular exercise is definitely needed more than ever now along with a nice enclosed garden where she can safely play. She can have a slightly sensitive tummy and has a fibre supplement daily to help support her gut. She no longer needs the daily pain relief she has needed to take for years which is fab but she will benefit from remaining long term on good joint supplements and she also had Golden Turmeric paste.

Pheobe will sleep soundly downstairs at night but also loves to share the bedroom with you too.  She has been around visiting grand children previously with no issues but not lived with children full time. We are happy to consider homes with resident gentle children aged 8yrs plus (younger visiting children are fine) ,she wants a playful canine pal in her new home but isnt good with cats.

Pheobe is used to having lots of company during the day, she can be left for a few hours without any issues but she wouldnt be happy being left for long periods on a regular basis.

Being fostered in Swadlincote, Derbys and need to be rehomed within easy travelling distance of us (say within 1hr maximum travelling) so she can return for that final check up at the end of March (she may
need xrays so could be a day procedure). Subject to home check and adoption donation of £300
