Hari is a 5yr old female long coated GSD, she is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated and will be rehomed with 5 weeks
free pet insurance.

Hari came to us as an emergency at the start of Feb, she had been found straying with the most horrifically infected leg and other lesions and sores all over her body, underweight, unable to weight bear and full of infection right into the bone. The kind vets she was handed into reached out for help as she was facing being PTS or at
best having her  front leg amputated, we immediately offered to help her but asked them not to amputate until we had her in our care and
could try to see if we could fix her........and fix her we did :)

Hari was immediately booked in with our vets who re-xrayed her and could see her bone was full of infection and her leg so swollen with
another infected sore on her other leg. Her wrist joint had become so infected over a long period of time it has actually partially fused
itself so there was nothing that could be done surgically however swabs revealed she needed a VERY long course of a particular antibiotic to give a chance of getting the infection under control.
She had daily cream rubbed on her sore, broken down skin and was on daily pain relief but despite all this, this beautiful girl took
everything in her stride and slowly began to get better. After weeks of intensive treatment her leg is looking great, the skin is very thin over the area that was most badly damaged but as the fur
grows back it should help to  protect it further. She will always walk with a slight limp on the front leg due to the fused joint but it doesn't hold her back, she isn't in any pain and she absolutely LOVES to run around our paddock.

Hari is the most beautiful girl inside and out, she is stunning to look at but has the loveliest nature too. She loves plenty of attention and enjoys being groomed, especially at the moment shedding her thick winter coat.  She would definitely suit a GSD experienced home as she is a typical shepherd in most ways and although she is very dog friendly and lives in a large pack here she can get a bit over stimulated and needs to be told to calm it down a little when energy levels get too high with lots of dogs.  She could happily live with another well socialised neutered dog in her new home or could be
the only dog with plenty of human company.

She is clean in the house, non destructive and sleeps quietly downstairs at night without a sound. She is ok being left for a few hours but she hates being shut out or in somewhere, we think it reminds her of a past life. Left with the run of a downstairs etc though and she will just choose a comfy spot to settle.

Hari absolutely loves her food and eats really well, she has gained nearly 10kg since being with us and is pretty much a perfect weight now. She has joint supplements daily along with collagen to support her skin and coat.

Hari travels really well in the car, is great with the vets and walks lovely on the lead, her recall is also good. She really is an absolute
pleasure and a gem of a dog, whoever adopts her will be so lucky to have her.

Being fostered in Swadlincote, Derby's but can be rehomed further afield to the perfect home subject to home check and adoption donation
of £300
