Ginge is a nearly 7yr old pure ginger male, he is neutered, fully vaccinated, micorchipped, flea and worm treated. He has some mild entropian on one eye but after also having an extensive and much needed dental with us too he otherwise has a clean bill of health and
will be rehomed with 5 weeks free pet insurance.
Poor Ginge came to us in December along with 4 other cats from an
emergency welfare situation. They had been living in absolute squalor, were skin and bone, running live with hundreds of fleas and full of worms, he had a sore eye, a mouth full of bad teeth and of course wasn't neutered. These poor poor cats had been very badly neglected over a long period.
Ginge found it very scary in rescue when he first arrived but once settled in he has really blossomed and is actually a sweet, loving boy who enjoys a nice fuss. He isnt the most confident of cats given his background but once he trusts you he loves plenty of affection and
will let you know when he has had enough.
Although he has lived with other cats he is quite bossy with them and doesn't really get on with the other boys, he would be happiest as the only cat where he can have all the attention and all the food, as you can imagine after being starving he really does enjoy his wet and dry food and gets through 3 pouches a day and a bowl of dry.
These cats use of the litter tray wasnt good when they first arrived but over the weeks they have improved however they will only toilet in a clean tray, so if another has already used it to pooh in they will go on the floor of the cattery. Its not suprising given the place they
were living was filthy with no clean amenities to use so they are
naturally seeking out a clean space. As long as a tray is kept clean (and being an only cat) we dont think this will be an ongoing problem but new owners will need to be prepared.
Ginge isnt used to being around dogs and children should be older 8yrs
plus and cat savvy, he doesn't like being picked up and pulled around but will come and sit with you.He travels ok and was good with the vets.
Ginge will need a home WELL AWAY FROM ANY BUSY OR FAST ROADS with a
nice safe garden to play in once fully settled in. Being fostered in Swadlincote but can be rehomed further afield subject to homecheck and
adoption donation of £100
